GRID 2 developer, the famous Codemasters, is now considering providing a Linux port for this game or maybe the next ones.

Ever since the announcement of Steam OS Linux distribution, a lot of developers have started taking the Linux platform a little more seriously. A GRID fan opened a thread on the Steam forums, asking for Linux support. To everyone's surprise, one of the GRID developers answered.

“Something we're obviously discussing around the office but nothing concrete yet. We'll see :) I think the eyes of the majority of developers will be casting an eye on Linux at the moment :) No promises, but we're certainly not dismissing it outright,” said Ben Walke, community manager at Codemasters.

This is far from an actual port, but it's nice to see such a prominent developer openly thinking about Linux ports for its games.
