Kshutdown, a graphical shutdown utility for Linux that allows users to turn off or suspend the computer at the specified time, is now at version 3.1 Beta.

A new build of this very handy tool has been released and packs quite a few changes and fixes.

Highlights of Kshutdown 3.1 Beta:

• Simple password protection is now available (see menu bar -> Preferences -> Password tab); • Logout from KDE 4 is now supported; • "Test" action has been renamed to "Show Message" and the text can be configured; • The "kworkspace" library dependency has been removed; • C++11 support has been added.

Check out the changelog for a complete list of changes and updates. Download Kshutdown 3.1 Beta right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
