Clonezilla Live, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do a lot or maintenance and recovery work, has been upgraded to version 2.3.2-5 and is now ready for download and testing.

A new Clonezilla testing version has been made available and it looks like the developers have corrected a couple of bugs and they made a small upgrade to the base system, which is Debian. A stable version was just made available a few days ago, so it's likely that it will take a while until a new one is ready.

"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/Jan/06)," is noted in the official announcement. Unlike the previous edition, which also featured updates for the Partclone and DRBL packages, now we have a fix for an issue with the local time, and a small problem with the volume size has been corrected.

Also, the devs have said that all the appropriate apps have been improved and are now able to support encrypted images. A complete list of changes, improvements, and fixes can be found in the official announcement. You can download Clonezilla Live 2.3.2-5 right now from Softpedia and you can run it as a Live CD with no problems.
