Freeciv, a free turn-based multiplayer strategy game, in which each player becomes the leader of a civilization, is now at version 2.4.1.

Freeciv 2.4.1 is inspired by Civilization I and II from MicroProse, and gamers should find this title quite familiar, since one aim is to have optional modes (called rulesets) with compatible rules.

Highlights of Freeciv 2.4.1:

• Some bugs in Freeciv's inferences about ruleset effects in the absence of complete information have been fixed; • Autosettlers can no longer erroneously believe that by building irrigation or a mine specials of the other kind would be removed; • Some warnings when loading the civ1 ruleset have been fixed; • A few bugs in the AI's “ferry” system have been fixed; • New nuclear explosion graphics for the Amplio2 and Trident rulesets have been added.
