The developers of Cinnamon have released yet another update

Cinnamon 2.0.6, a Linux desktop environment based on GNOME 3 which provides new features while preserving a more conventional approach, has been released.

The 2.x branch of Cinnamon was released just a couple of weeks ago and the developers have already issued a number of patches. This is the sixth in the series and we suspect that there are more to come.

Even if Cinnamon was released as stable, a few problems are still lingering. For example, there was an issue with Cinnamon installations on Ubuntu 13.04 and Ubuntu 13.10, but it seems that it was sorted out.

There is no official announcement for Cinnamon 2.0.6, but it's available through the regular channels, depending on the distribution it's being used on. If you update your system regularly, then you most likely already have the new version installed.

In any case, you can also download Cinnamon 2.0.6 from Softpedia.
