Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, a medieval multiplayer game developed and published by Torn Banner Studios on Steam, will also get a Linux version.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has been around for more than a couple of years and now the developers are seriously considering launching the game on the Linux platform as well. They have been working for some time on the port and it looks like they are getting closer. This is after all a game based on the Unreal engine and numerous other titles using it have been ported already.

"Featuring competitive online combat that seeks to capture the experience of truly being on a medieval battlefield. Inspired from the intensity and epicness of swordfighting movies such as 300, Gladiator and Braveheart, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare aims to bring that experience to the hands of a gamer," reads the Steam synopsis.

Information about the Linux version has been spotted in the Steam Database, which is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service. Games that are being worked on usually appear in the database before the official launch, but Stream for Linux users have reported that it's also possible to download it, although it's not starting just yet.

The makers of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare have also released a major DLC, but it's unclear whether that one is ported as well. More details about this title can be found on the Steam website.
