On October 19, Johnny Hughes has announced the immediate availability for download of CentOS 5.10, for both the 32-bit and 64-bit architecture.

CentOS 5.10 is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by the Upstream OS Provider, more precisely Red Hat. It's the tenth update in the 5.x branch of the series and comes with lot of bugfixes, updates and new functionalities.

Among the changes in this new version of CentOS there two new MySQL versions, 5.1 and 5.5, a new package called gcc-libraries, and improved HP cciss RAID driver, and package virt-who, used for reporting virtual guest information to the subscription manager.

A number of other smaller fixes changes have been implemented, including a number of new packages that were not present in the previous release.
