A new game based on the The Powerpuff Girls has been released on Steam

The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville, an action title develop by Radiangames and published by Cartoon Network Games, has just arrived on Steam for Linux.

In case you were wondering if you can play the Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville on the Linux platform, the answer is yes. You will be able to reprise the roles of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup as they cruise around Townsville, battling evil.

The games is built with a “Metroidvania” style gameplay, features unique powers for the Powerpuff Girls, has lots of enemies, four distinct bosses and hidden upgrades, and much more.

The game has a very interesting look and atmosphere, but the minimum system requirements for The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville are quite acceptable; Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, a 1.0 Ghz processor, 1 GB of RAM, a video card with a minimum 256 MB of VRAM, and 350 MB of available space.
