Cantata, a client for the music player daemon (MPD) that originally started as a fork of QtMPC, is now at version 1.1.0.
According to the developers, Cantata 1.1.0 can be compiled with KDE support, or as a pure Qt4 application.
Highlights of Cantata 1.1.0:
• The new context view now shows artist info, album info, and lyrics of the current track; • The current album cover is now shown as a backdrop to playqueue; • Support has been added for a per-user, Cantata-controlled MPD instance; • The option to toggle the usage of monochrome sidebar icons has been added; • The configuration UI has been simplified; • AudioCDs are now automatically played when started with cdda:// URL.
