Ubuntu 14.04 will be for smart-phones, tablets and TVs

Ubuntu Developer Summit for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) is taking place these days (October 31st - November 4th) in Orlando, Florida, USA.

After Mark Shuttleworth's keynote at UDS-P, were he says that Ubuntu will come to the mobile world, Canonical decided to laid out the initial plans. Click here to watch the video!

Therefore, in order for Ubuntu to be implemented on smart-phones, tablets or TVs, Canonical will have to develop a mobile version of Unity.

The Ubuntu developers are still deciding what technologies to implement in the Ubuntu for Phones project. For example, they suggested NetworkManager and ConnMan to handle the network connections, and if PulseAudio can be used as the default audio service.
