Canonical has issued a white paper in which they’re detailing the features of Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin), in an effort to determine people to voluntarily switch from Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS.

The fact that its a Long Term Support release, which extends the support offered by Canonical for a period of five years, doesn't push anyone to switch to a new Ubuntu Server, but Canonical feels that people should know what are the advantages of upgrading.

The latest Long Term Support (LTS) release of Ubuntu server is designed to meet the growing need for agile, flexible and affordable IT infrastructure in the modern enterprise, featuring virtualisation, architecture support, file systems and storage, and new ISV support.

If you are an Ubuntu Server user, Canonical has prepared a white paper outlining the advantages of moving to a new version.
