A new TBS has arrived for the Linux gamers

Braveland Wizard, a turn-based strategy game developed and published by Tortuga Team, has been released on Steam for Linux and is now available with a 15% discount.

The Linux platform has no shortage of turn TBS games, but there is always room for one, especially one that is as good looking as Braveland Wizard. The makers of this title have used a very nice drawing style that really sets it apart from the rest. It is not a terribly difficult game, but users will need to think strategically.

"The same old school turn-based strategy game is back - welcome to Braveland Wizard! The graduate of the Academy of Magic is ready for new adventures. Her journey begins high in the mountains and passes through the southern lands, populated by orcs, ghosts, and mysterious nomads," reads the Steam entry.

The gameplay is reminiscent of the old Heroes or Might and Magic titles, so it's not entirely foreign. The game was ported from the mobile version, so it should run fairly well on Linux systems. Users will need at least Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, a 1.7 GHz Dual Core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, ATI Radeon 4870 HD, or Intel HD 4000 video card, and 500 MB of HDD space.

The promotion for the game is set to expire on December 11.
