After six months of hard work, Jeff Hoogland announced on September 12 that the final release of the Bodhi Linux 2.4.0 operating system was available for download, bringing improvements and bugfixes.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.8, Bodhi Linux 2.4.0 features the lightweight and eye-candy Enlightement E17.4 desktop environment, Midori 0.5.0 web browser, as well as some fresh artwork.

"Also - can you believe it is almost the end of 2013 already? That means Bodhi 3.0.0 is less than twelve months away! It will be out sometime in the summer after Ubuntu 14.04 releases." was stated in the official release announcement.

As Jeff Hoogland noted in his blog announcement, Bodhi Linux 2.4.0 is distributed as Live CD ISO images, supporting 64-bit and 32-bit architectures, with PAE or non-PAE kernels.

Existing users don't need to download this ISO image, just make sure your system is always up to date.
