Blender Foundation, the developer of Blender, an integrated 3D creation software suite, has announced that their software has reached version 2.67 RC.

Highlights of Blender 2.67 RC:

• A border has been added for the compositor viewer node. This means that border rendering and cropping are finally working properly; • Subsurface scattering has been implemented and can be used for materials like skin and milk; • Camera and object motion has been improved; • Freestyle has been implemented, which is an edge and line-based non-photorealistic (NPR) rendering engine.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official changelog.

Download Blender 2.67 RC right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
