FrostWire, a BitTorrent client (formerly a Gnutella client) that’s the result of a collaborative effort from hundreds of Open Source and freelance developers, is now at version 5.6.9.

The Frostwire client can be used to send large files and folders. It features BitTorrent and Magnet Link support, it's Kindle-compatible, and the list can continue.

FrostWire 5.6.9 features faster cloud search results, significant memory optimizations on search result parsing and display, and cloud audio downloads are much smaller (no audio demuxing necessary from video services).

Also, the JDownloader libraries have been removed, cloud video DASH download support has been added, and the playlist name suggestion algorithm now takes into account ID3 tags.

Check out the official announcement for a complete list of changes and updates. Download FrostWire 5.6.9 right now from Softpedia.
