Banshee 2.6.1 is just a stable, bug-fix-only release for the 2.6.x branch, and it incorporates a number of very important fixes.
Highlights of Banshee 2.6.1:
• The application no longer defaults to MusicFilePattern when DatabaseTrackInfo is null; • The playlist only imports files that are valid; • a11y is no longer enabled when a freeze is caused; • The application now checks the playing track before ejecting the CD; • The obsolete AutoMake macro is no longer used; • "Common Problems" entry has been removed from the documentation; • Unicode codes are now used for quotation marks; • A GTK category has been added in the .desktop files to comply with specifications.
