Clonezilla Live 2.2.2-21, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do bare metal backup and recovery, is now ready for testing and download.

Clonezilla Live is a Linux distribution that does only one thing: bare metal backup and recovery. It's very similar to other older cloning software, such as True Image or Norton Ghost.

As usual, the new latest version of Clonezilla Live 2.2.2-21 is now based on the most recent version of the Debian Sid repository, which dates from March 10, 2014.

Also, the Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.13.5-1, which is almost the most recent version made available, drbl has been updated to version 2.7.32-drbl1, Clonezilla has been updated to version 3.9.36-drbl1, and Syslinux has been updated to version 6.03-pre7.

Sorting the isolinux.bin and boot.cat is now possible when creating ISO files, and a "-s|--semi-batch" option has been implemented into the sample file gen-rec-usb.

A complete list of changes, improvements, and fixes can be found in the official announcement. Download Clonezilla Live 2.2.2-21 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
