This is the second stable release of BackTrack 5 Linux

Offensive Security, the developers of the ever popular BackTrack Linux, have just announced a few hours ago, March 1st, the immediate availability for download for the BackTrack 5 R2 release.

Being in the works for a few months, the second release of BackTrack 5 Linux brings many updated packages, bug fixes, and general improvements.

Powered by Linux kernel 3.2.6, which includes the best wireless support available, BackTrack 5 R2 also incorporates over 40 new utilities (see the entire list below).

Tools like Metasploit 4.2.0 Community Edition, BeEF 0.4.3.2 and Social Engineer Toolkit 3.0 are also included in BackTrack 5 R2.
