Clonezilla Live, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do a lot of maintenance and recovery work, has been updated to version 2.4.1-15 and is now ready for download.

Many of the updates that landed for Clonezilla in the past few weeks have been rather consistent, and numerous packages have been updated, including the Linux kernel. In fact, this latest upgrade features a fresh Linux kernel upgrade. This is important because the kernel needs to be recent in order to be able to recognize all the latest hardware.

"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/May/05)," is noted in the official announcement. According to the changelog, the Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.16.7-ckt9-3, drbl is now at version 2.14.4-drbl1, clonezilla has been upgraded to version 3.15.2-drbl1, and the syslinux package is now at version 6.03+dfsg-7.

A complete list of changes, improvements, and fixes can be found in the official announcement. You can download Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-15 right now from Softpedia and you can run it as a Live CD with no problems, but please keep in mind that this is not stable and it should not be used on production machines.
