Last month, we reported on the release of the Avidemux 2.6.9 open-source and cross-platform video editor for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems, but today we see the release of Avidemux 2.6.10.

According to the release notes, which we have attached at the end of the blog post for reference, AviDemux 2.6.10 is a small release that fixes some packaging issues and various other problems reported by users since the previous version of the software.

Moreover, the avsproxy component and several language translations have been re-added to Avidemux, and some issues with the x264 multi-pass encoding process when the video file contains non-ASCII characters have been fixed.

Last but not least, an experimental build of Avidemux that is compatible with the Qt 5 GUI toolkit has been added for Mac OS X operating systems, and a problem with Fraps (filler frames) has been addressed.

More details about what exactly has been changed in this bugfix release of Avidemux can be found in the attached changelog. In the meantime, you can download Avidemux 2.6.10 for Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia.
