Pacman, a utility that manages software packages in Linux and which uses simple compressed files as a package format, is now at version 4.1.0.

Pacman 4.1.0 can be used to add, remove and upgrade packages in the system. It will also allow users to query the package database for installed packages, files and owners.

Highlights of Pacman 4.1.0:

• File properties are now checked when using -Qkk; • Color has been added to pacman output; • Informational messages has been added for the optdepends installation status; • Options have been added to specify the required signature level for Upgrade operations; • The directory ownership can now be queried; • SyncFirst option has been removed; • The -f short option has been removed from --force.
