On September 1, 2013, Arch Linux users were happy to find out that the Arch developers updated the LibreOffice packages to the latest stable version, 4.1.1, which was released last week, on August 29, 2013.

For a long time now, Arch Linux users had to use the 4.0 stable branch of the famous office suite, which was still updated regularly and the latest version was 4.0.5.

But not anymore, as someone from the Arch Linux development team decided that it was time to update the open source office suite to a more recent and featureful version, the 4.1 branch.

Therefore, if you're an Arch Linux user, and you want to update your LibreOffice suite to version 4.1.1, don't hesitate to do so by firing up the Linux Terminal and executing the sudo pacman -Syu command.

In the announcement for LibreOffice 4.1.1, The Document Foundation still recommends the use of LibreOffice 4.0.5 for enterprise adoptions, as it is backed by certified professionals.
