Arch Linux, an independently developed i686/x86-64 general purpose GNU/Linux distribution that focuses on simplicity, minimalism, and code elegance, is now at version 2012.11.01.

Unlike the previous release of Arch Linux, this version comes with just a few bugfixes.

The developers have announced while ago that they will be switching to a monthly release, and this is the first distro to fit the new pattern.

Highlights of Arch Linux 2012.11.01:

• This is the first Arch Linux distribution that features Linux kernel 3.6; • copytoram=n can be used to not copy the image to RAM on network boot. This is probably unreliable, but an option for systems with very low memory; • cowfile_size boot parameter mainly for persistent COW on VFAT;

Download Arch Linux 2012.11.01 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
