Anodyne, a 2D role-playing game that is similar older versions of Zelda, has been launched on Steam for Linux and can be purchased with a 33% discount.

There is no shortage of Linux games being launched on Steam for Linux and Anodyne arrives to fill a sparse genre, 2D RPG.

“You explore and fight your way through nature, urban and abstract themed landscapes and dungeons in the human Young's subconscious, evoked by a GBC/16-bit-era visual style and a moody, dream-like soundtrack,” reads the official Steam website.

As you might suspect, the Linux requirement are very low: 1.5 GHz, single-core processor, 1 GB of RAM memory, 100 MB HD space, and Adobe AIR 2.6 need to be installed (the installer scripts are included).

The promotion for Anodyne will end on March 29.
