It doesn't matter the system is 20 years old

AmigaOS 3.1 is an operating system released for the famous Commodore Amiga 4000, that was made available back in 1992. Believe it or not, there are still some nostalgic users of this computer even today and the makers of the OS re-released the platform on floppy disk sets.

AmigaOS is a proprietary system and it's not Unix-based. Still, it was a powerful system back in the day and it still has a lot of fans and users, despite the fact that the computer it was designed for was discontinued back in 1994, a little over 20 years ago.

The problem is that the fans have the AmigaOS 3.1 system on floppy disks and those are known to fail, especially after being used for so long. The solution was to issue a new set of floppy disks for people who still want to buy them.

"Our customers have regularly been asking for replacement Workbench floppy disk sets since their older disks have either become corrupted or worn out due to age. About a year ago, we approached our friends at Cloanto to enquire about a possible solution. As a result, we are pleased to announce the immediate availability of new Workbench 3.1 Floppy Disk Set," wrote an admin on the AmigaKit.com forums.

The price for AmigaOS 3.1 floppy disk set is $17,18 (€15,86), which says quite a lot about the dedicated fan base.
