Jeff Bilyk announced last evening, November 22nd, the immediate availability for download of the second point release of the Alpine Linux 2.3 operating system.

Alpine Linux 2.3.2 is a maintenance release, a bugfix release, adding various security patches from the upstream package sources, Shorewall compatibility support with iptables, SMP-related kernel improvements, and Linux kernel 3.0.10.

Among other changes in Alpine 2.3.2 we can mention a GCC 4.6 audio decoding fix for MPlayer, Bind 9.8.1-p1, FreeType2 2.4.8, acf-freeswitch-vmail 0.0.14, as well as Linux-VServer 3.0.10, OpenLDAP and NSS security updates.
