Age of Wonders III, a turn-based fantasy strategy developed and published by Triumph Studios, will arrive on the Linux platform.

The developers of the Age of Wonders III have just announced that a new DLC will be released by Eternal Lords soon and that the Linux and Mac OS X platforms will also be covered by this release.

"With the introduction of the Tigran and Frostling races and the new Necromancer class, players must adapt to a world on the brink of cataclysmic change. New mechanics such as the Race Governance system, which allows players to tailor the features of each race in their empire to meet their strategic needs, add new layers of depth to empire development and diplomacy. Embrace forbidden powers and reign for eternity!" read the announcement.

The launch date for the new DLC and for the Linux version is April 14. Users will most likely need at least an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz or AMD Phenom X4 9900 @ 2.6 Ghz processors, 4 GB of RAM, an nVidia Geforce 460 1GB or AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB video card, and 10 GB of available HDD space.

The announcement from Triumph Studios says nothing of the other DLCs that have been released so far, but that's probably going to be cleared up soon.
