APT (Advanced Package Tool), a set of core tools inside Debian that makes it possible to install, remove, and keep applications up to date, is now at version 0.9.15.

Advanced Package Tool was launched back in 1998, and 15 years later it's almost at version 1.0. The developers are still releasing small increments, and it will take it a while to get to 1.0.

Highlights of APT 0.9.15:

• Minor robustness improvements have been made; • "apt-mark help" is now showing all the commands; • "apt show" output is now a lot more user-friendly; • "apt full-upgrade" has been added and "apt upgrade" has been tweaked; • APT::Sources::Use-Deb822=false has been set until the format is fully finalized.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download APT (Advanced Package Tool) 0.9.15 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
