Today, April 17, 2016, 4MLinux developer Zbigniew Konojacki has been happy to inform us about the immediate availability of the Beta release of the upcoming 4MRescueKit 17.0 Live CD.

Based on the latest 4MLinux 17.0 Beta operating system, the 4MRescueKit 17.0 distrolette is now available for public Beta testing and includes the Antivirus Live CD 17.0-0.99.1, 4MParted 17.0, 4MRecover 17.0, and BakAndImgCD 17.0 sister projects.

"4MRescueKit provides its users with software for antivirus protection, data backup, disk partitioning, and data recovery. It is distributed in the form of a multiboot CD, which includes four (extremely small) operating systems," says Zbigniew Konojacki.

As detailed in the developer's notes above, users will be able to use the 4MLinux-based Live CDs that have been included in the 4MRescueKit 17.0 distrolette to fulfill various system administration tasks.

For example, you will be able to clone entire disks or partitions and back up files with BakAndImgCD 17.0, scan computers for viruses with Antivirus Live CD 17.0-0.99.1, partition disks with 4MParted 17.0, or recover broken machines with 4MRecover 17.0.

The Beta of 4MRescueKit 17.0 can be downloaded right now via our website as a Live ISO image, but please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, not suitable for production use. Please report bugs if you encounter any.
