A recommended update for all users of 4MLinux 21 series

4MLinux developer Zbigniew Konojacki‏ informs Softpedia about the availability of the third point release to the 4MLinux 21.0 stable series of the independently developed GNU/Linux distribution.

4MLinux 21.3 is a minor update that brings the latest version of the Linux 4.4 LTS kernel series, namely Linux kernel 4.4.70, and updates various components and applications, including but not limited to VLC Media Player, GRUB bootloader, and SMTube video player for YouTube videos. At the request of many users, it also adds an RDP client, specifically rdesktop 1.8.3.

"This is a minor maintenance release in the 4MLinux STABLE channel. The release ships with the Linux kernel 4.4.70. Additionally, some popular programs (e.g., GNU GRUB, SMTube, VLC) have been updated, too. As a response to user requests, an RDP client (rdesktop 1.8.3) is now available out of the box," says Zbigniew Konojacki‏.

You can download the 4MLinux 21.3 Live ISO image right now from our website if you want to install the operating system on your personal computer, but existing users are urged to update their existing installations to the 21.3 release by opening a terminal emulator and executing the "zk update" command. The entire update process is fully automatic. but you'll need to reboot your PC.
