4MLinux, a mini Linux distro focusing on Maintenance (system rescue Live CD), Multimedia (e.g., playing video DVDs), Miniserver (using the inetd daemon) and Mystery (Linux games), is now at version 7.0 Beta.

4MLinux 7.0 Beta integrates all the new features introduced in the previous versions and provides the latest applications.

The major features introduced in this new version are all about maintenance (4MLinux Backup Scripts 7.0 and ClamAV 0.97.8), multimedia (MPlayer svn-36347-4.7.2 and FFMpeg Git-2013-06-16), a mini server (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SFTP, and Telnet), and mystery (a collection of small Linux games).

The X Window System is now based on X.Org Server 1.14.1 and the distribution comes with Mesa 9.1.3, JWM 2.1.0, and the FOX toolkit 1.6.49, and both Ethernet and dialup functions are supported.

According to the developers, basic support for Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, and Slackware packages has been enabled out of the box.
